Peter Chirico: Hi, I'm Peter Chirico with Chirico Physical Therapy and Wellness. Today we're going to go over the answer to a question of how do you know you have a pinched nerve in your neck. There's three symptoms or signs of that, and we'll go over that in a second. What people usually tell us when they come in though is that they feel like they slept in wrong position on a sofa or in bed and they woke up in the morning with a crick in their neck. Other people tell us, they think they have a herniated disc or a bulging disc that's pressing on a nerve and causing pain. The three symptoms and signs, that indicate whether you have a pinched nerve, that we can teach you today are the following. Number one, if you have constant muscle tension in your trapezius and neck region that feels like rocks that just won't go away and won't let up. You can also have, number two, numbness and tingling from your neck area down to your arm and into your hand area. Number three is muscle weakness, usually in the arm or hand areas. These are the three signs and symptoms of a pinched nerve. If you feel you may be dealing with a pinched nerve or you've already been diagnosed with a bulging disc or a herniated disc in your neck and you have what we call radicular or radiating symptoms, give us a call. We can get you in right away for an evaluation and help you. Our number is area code 909-345-3370, or you can connect to us through our website at Chirico Physical Therapy and Wellness, or chiricopt.com. I hope you found this video helpful. Look What Others Are Saying About Specialty Treatment From Chirico Physical Therapy And Wellness... “I just wanted to let you know how happy I am with the good results of my neck therapy. I must admit, to begin with, I was skeptical but fortunately, you encouraged me to keep on going. The pain has gone as the result of your very excellent therapy and even more importantly, I can now do all the activities that I missed and love to do with no problems. I recommend the treatments highly." -Helen C. “My neck is now 100% better and I can do all the activities I took for granted prior to having my neck problem. Peter’s approach was very thorough, physically, verbally, plenty of personal hands on. I have complete confidence in his professional approach & personal concern, absolutely wonderful! I highly recommend him to anyone & everyone!" -Patrick K. "I injured my neck overdoing it at the gym and got this constant nagging pain that went from my neck to my shoulder and upper arm areas on my left side. I tried everything that I could think of to lessen the pain ie salonpas, ointments ,OTC meds that I hate taking and nothing worked. Since seeing Peter for treatments my quality of life has dramatically improved. I can now do all of the things I used to do at the gym, love being with my friends and I'm getting back in shape. The thing I like the most about my therapy sessions with Peter was how pain free they were and how easy the process was. I would highly recommend Peter to anyone wanting to get back to doing their activities or sports that they love or are important to them with ease and pain free."
